About the Show

Purpose of Show

Calling on all artists to create art that captures their impression of the historic square in Hyde Park. 

Benefits of Entering

  • $500 in awards handed out to top three entries. 

  • All accepted entries will be featured in Gallery 708 for a two month showing.

  • Great opportunity to sell to the gallery’s Hyde Park clients who will be excited to buy symbols of their beloved square.

A Juried Show

Featured judges include artist Donna Talerico and Pat Olding. More judges to be announced.

Entry Fee and Requirements

  • Open to artists in the Greater Cincinnati area only 

  • Just a $10 fee for up to five entries 

  • All mediums are welcome: ceramic, fiber/textile, sculpture and jewelry too

  • No size restriction

  • All accepted entries must be prepared and ready for hanging or display

  • All accepted entries must be available for sale

  • Accepted entries sold with a gallery 50% commission


Submission of Entries

  • Photos of art to be sent via the internet and in jpeg file format not exceeding 2.5 MB 

  • File naming is artist last name and entry title

Key Dates

  • July 6 / First Call For Entry 

  • August 8 / Open air kickoff party on gallery front lawn. Refreshments served and door prizes given out 

  • September 13 / Deadline for entry submission 

  • September 14 / Judging 

  • September 16 / Notification of accepted entries 

  • September 21-24 / Deliver art to gallery

  • October 1 / Opening show event

How to Apply



The application process is simple:

  1. Send an email to

  2. Include the information listed below and attach up to five images of your work as jpegs no larger than 2.5 MB each. 

  3. Pay $10 entry fee online by clicking here.

  4. You will be notified when both application and fee have been received.

  • Title of entry 

  • Medium or material used 

  • Size (please include height, width and depth)

  • Price (all work must be for sale)


JPEG File naming convention 

  • Name each file using artist last name followed by underscore and then title of art

  • Example: Artist John Smith submits art titled Blue Day

    • File = smith_blueday.jpg
